Silkie chick colors 😍

Hello everyone! New silkie mom here I’ve been trying to figure out what colors these babies are parents are bbs. I’m thinking all blue but I’m hoping someone more experienced may know

They look like possibly splash or blue. @Debbie292d may be able to confirn though!

I'm going to agree with Nora. Splash or blue, leaning towards splash though, but silver partridge may be a possibility. It's hard to know when they are so small, but gosh, they are adorable!

Those are blue. If they were splash they would be a lighter blue/gry color with blue splotches

Thank you! I’m so excited to see them change I’m hoping for at least one splash! the pictures don’t do it justice but I’m pretty sure chick pic #3 is a rooster and it looks like it has gold on its neck so maybe some cool leakage in the future

Sometimes it's a surprise. I hatched a bunch of eggs from a breeder and kept three...two paints and this one as I didn't know what it was. I posted it in a silkies forum and nobody knew.



She turned into this about three months ago. I don't have a recent picture but she's turned a little darker and plumper, a beautiful pullet.

Blues and splashes are tough as I have both here. I don't really think yours are blues as much as I think splashes but time will tell and regardless, they will be beautiful!

Do you trim around her eyes? My silkie cockerel was so floofy he couldn't see a piece of bread if I threw it a foot in front of him. I had to get an eyebrow grooming kit and give him a haircut every month.
