Silkie chick colors

@LadiesAndJane
I ended up getting some (hopefully) better pictures. I know they’re still pretty young.
Bird 1 is either dark blue or black, smooth feathered.
Bird 2 is black mottled, silkie feathered. Likely 75% Silkie as beak is wrong color for a silkie, though this will be a gorgeous bird!
Bird 3 is also mottled, silkie feathered.
Bird 4 is a partridge mixed color, smooth feathered
Bird 5 is blue mottled, smooth feathered.
Bird 6 is mixed partridge colored, blue based, uncertain of feathering.
Bird 7 is black, silkie feathered.
Bird 8 is black, silkie feathered.
Bird 9 is mixed partridge colored, uncertain feathering.
These are beautiful chicks and it will be fun to see how they develop.😍

Thank you so much! I will definitely post pictures as they mature!

Oh they are adorable! 🥰

I agree with @LadiesAndJane's excellent assessment of colors and feather types. 😊

Number 9 and number 4 may have some wheaten genetics going on as well and might have some Columbian going on but it is hard to guess. Number 9 especially looks like some wheaten based babies I've seen. I've got one right now that started out close to that color. With non standard colors like that guessing can be tricky. I'm betting they'll change a lot as they grow!

This little munchkin I have is the one I mentioned looking similar to number 9 as a baby. They may end up completely different but this might give you an inkling on one possibility. Males and females also tend to look fairly different in wheaten varieties a lot of the time.

Oh wow, yeah this gives me a good idea of how much they can change too! I love seeing the progress pics! Thanks! 😊

Just wanted to post some pictures on how the chicks ended up looking! 3 out of 4 mottled chicks ended up being roosters.
