Silkie chick not himself

Also, I'm confused on there color. The woman I bought them from said that 2 were white and 3 were partridge but I can't tell a difference in any of them. They all look the same. Their down is a yellowish gray color and the feathers that are coming in on their wings are snow white as well as their fluff all over their bodies so are they white or is it some other color? I've seen the partridge chicks and they look nothing like mine... I'm confused!! Lol

Oh, I had assumed they were at least 4 weeks since I heard you can't sell chicks til they are atleast 4 weeks old. I had no clue they were that young!! I do have a heat lamp out there for them though. Do you think they are all that age or is the smallest 1 even younger?

*UPDATE* I am happy to report that my little silkie baby is 100% back to his (or her??) old self!!! Yaaayyy!! When I fed them today he was the first,to the food and didn't stop eating til he ate his fill, he even pecked at a few pieces of cracked corn that had fell in the run from the cup that had the big girls food in it! I'm so happy!!

I'm so glad your silkie is doing well!

Likely the the smaller one is younger, though it could just be that it is the "runt" of the group. As for their coloration, young silkies can be difficult to tell the color for, but likely, if they don't have brown or red in them, they won't turn out partridge.

In between its two "siblings" is a Patridge silkie chick

None of mine look like that. I think atleast 2 are white but but there is a couple that has a light tannish color with white mixed in. Is that considered a "spalsh" or is that something else? I wish I had good picture of what I'm talking about but all the pictures I have don't show it very well. I'll try to get a good picture of 1 tomorrow morning and post it so you can see what,I'm talking about.

Sorry, for some reason it wont let me post a pic as a reply, i have to reply and then go back and edit my reply to actually post a picture, lol. You see how the 1 at the very top of the picture is a darker color with white mixed in? Its kind of hard to see in this picture but hes alot darker tan than the rest but has snow white feathers and fluff mixed in.
