This is the first time i have had chicks. I have 3 questions i hope someone can answer for me. The first is at what age can the chicks be introduced to the rest of the flock? I have 2 hens and 2 Roosters with 5 chicks in the coop and 3 chicks in a brooder. The chicks in the coop have been there since hatching on and after April 5th. The chicks in the brooder were just hatched on the 13th. I know now is too early.
My second question is: what color would these chicks be called? and does the fluff color transition to the feathers?
and the last question i have is, why didnt i get a white chick? I thought i would get at least one out of 9. i have the 2 roos that are as white as snow, one hen thats black as night, and the other hen thats partridge. and i dont quite understand how i got a black and partridge chick.
