silkie chick ticking her neck to the side when she eats seeds?

my 11 week old silkie was just eating some sunflower seeds, and as she did she started wiggling her neck to the side between each bite. i brought her inside to take a look at her and it stopped. shes eating crumble now and its not happening. she free ranges but i don't think shes eaten something as large and hard as a sunflower seed before. was she just having trouble getting the seeds down or maybe they were tickling her throat? tyia

They were tough to swallow. I see my Malays do that when they gobble a big amount of food at a time.
