hope this is the right topic to be under .i have 2 black silkies. she hatched one about 4 weeks ago. it came out black. we incubatated 2 but only 1 hatched the baby came out yellow . wondering is this possible. thanks

never heard of that black breeds true. are you sure they came from the black silkies

there's some gold around the roosters neck so would that make a difference. postive there from the 2 silkies . thanks for the information.

well the rooster may have had buff or a different color parents as has simply passed teh gene to the chick good luck
