One of our 3yr old silkie hens is unable to stand on her legs....

I opened her coop then went to open another one and within 2 minutes was back to check the food and water in her coop when I found her laying in the run unable to stand...All I could think of was she fell from the ramp which at it's highest point is 2' up as she was fine the night before...

No obvious injuries, breaks or bite marks...She eats, drinks and poops regularly and can move both legs...

We brought her in the house and made a hammock/suspension type contraption to keep the weight off of her legs so they could heal...

It's been a week and no progress...

We couldn't find a local vet or animal hospital willing to look at her...

Any ideas or thoughts?...

Really?...What did I say to indicate she seemed to be suffering?...I'm still hoping and thought I'd hear after only a week I'm being too optimistic and that it could take 2-3wks to heal...I don't want her to suffer, what signs would I look for if she was?...This isn't just some backyard broiler we'll talking about, she's one of our first pair and the sweetest friendliest bird we have...I could go in coop, sit on my stool, tap my leg and up she jumps to lay down on and get some lovin'...

When you move her around, does she seem to be hurt in any way? I don't mean her legs, but maybe something happened to her hip structure or her breast plate structure. Just something to throw out there. I'm definitely no vet. Have you called further afield for a vet? Did you check with the farm vets? Again, just throwing some stuff out there to try to help.

She doesn't seem hurt in any way in regard to acting uncomfortable when moved or touched...I tried to find something by moving everything and pressing all over but she gives no response...Her only aggravation seems to be she can't get where she wants to go...I've been reading where some leg injuries can take 2-3wks to heal, I'm hoping we're just being too optimistic still and that she will heal...And amazingly, I live in the heart of farm country and can't find a farm vet...

Have you tried Elizabethtown Animal hospital? Apparently they have an association with horses, pet rats, etc. Again, just trying to throw some stuff out there for you.
