Silkie Chicken sitting on eggs

I have a Silkie chicken who is now brooding . I was wondering if this is too early for this to happen she is about 6 months old and wondering if it will be too soon to have baby chicks. I live in Az and do place a heat lamp in the coop at times when it gets in the 30's . Any feed back would be appreciated.......still a novice with raising back yard chickens...Thanks

i reckon she should be old enough
i breed silkie *i love them* if ur are going to put eggs under her would you be able to keep me updayed and tell me how it goes??
