hi everyone I was wondering if I should get silkie chickens but I want to know some more about there egg laying patterns and personality does anyone know anything about them

I love mine. No eggs yet. I have a confirmed roo and a pullet. They are very sweet personality love cuddles. Depends what you want in chickens. Mine are pets and live in my house.

Silkies are AMAZING!!!!!! I have 2. Silkies make wonderful pets because of their laid-back, docile nature. Also, the make great mothers. Unfortunatly, they don't lay very much because they get broody ALOT!! Like Michelle said, it just really depends on what you want in a chicken. If you are looking for more of a "pet" or show breed, this is the chicken for you. Good luck!

you havn't done your chicken math yet, I started with 2 chicks, now I have 12 wonderful birds all laying hens, except that annoying rooster...I actually bought a parcel of land just so the flock could free range but they always come back at sundown into the coop
