Silkie chicks and a broody mama

I have a very sweet, very broody silkie. I have six silkie chicks almost three weeks old in a brooder. I'm thinking about bringing mama in the house and letting her raise them. Has anyone done this? She's sooooooo broody, I think she would be a good mom. Not sure if she could raise six on her own. I actually have two that are broody right now...

I don't think she would take them on because they are already 3 weeks old and they usually leave the chicks at 5-6 weeks. Maybe buy some hatching eggs and set them under her if you don't have a rooster. If you do have in then the eggs are most likely already fertilized and I would just let her sit on them

No..Sorry that won't work. Give her fertile eggs or break her from her broodiness.

No roosters here. I don't bother to break them, they come out of it eventually.

If you don't have roos then you could buy her eggs but by the time you get them she would already be out of it
