Silkie chicks color question/PICS

Very interesting Redcatcher!! Most of my whites are at least a little bit yellow at hatch...some more so...some less. But I've never had a white that was hatched pure white. Usually those are splashes for me.

my whites hatch white as well. I wonder if it is influenced by the lines. number two looks like my buffs, usually my splashes have a yellow tinge.

I no that #2 is a white chick even tho it looks yellow. All my white pen has yellow chicks. I was just wondering about #3 because it is a strange color white and I had heard that when they are chicks if they look white then they turn splash. Someone said something about a silver gene in white?????

It's the ones with marigold extract. I think it is the sunfresh recipe ones.
