i have heard of black head will it effect my poults? If they are both young I wanted to let them grow up together because my turkeys will need to get along with chickens but they might bully so I can separate them but does anyone know what to do?

Unfortunately, black head is a roll of the dice. As far as raising chickens with poults, I find it helps the poults in a lot of ways. I'll generally set turkey and chick eggs at the same time and then add a few of the week old chicks with the day old poults.

If you imprint your turkey poults with chickens they will grow up to not know the difference between chickens and turkeys. When they grow up they will treat the chickens the same way they treat each other which will not be good for the chickens especially Silkies since one good peck on the head can kill a Silkie.
