How old do silkie chicks need to be before they can be outside? We live in a climate that averages 60F

Usually it is 6 weeks when they have a lot of feathers.

They should be fine then at the temps you are describing.

If you want them out sooner and there is electricity out at the coop, you can set up a brooder plate for them
