I have two chicks who are 10 weeks old my silkie hatched. At first o thought they were both boys but now I am unsure. The one with all white has 5 toes and black skin like a silkie (mom) and the all black one with alittle white has black skin like a silkie but feet like dad (Birchen Cochin). I have 3 Roos already. I originally was going to get rid of them but now I’m second guessing are they Cockerel's? Dad Started crowing early I think 10-12-weeks if I can remember correctly and my two silkie Roos just started crowing at 10 months so haven’t heard these babies make any noise yet.

It's really early, but I'll go out on a limb and say that both are pullets.
At first I thought they were cockerels because they would jump feet first at me when I would try to pick them up but now their behavior has changed and I have been watching them and last time my coaching hatched silkie eggs I though they were males and have them
Away 2 were males and 4 of them pullets they are so pretty but definitely can’t keep and more Roos!

Here is an update on my silkie /Cochins mix. The chicks are 18 weeks on the 8th and still no crowing. Do they both still look like pullets? Or should I still worry one is a cockerel. I know silkies tend to crow later but since they are mixed I thought maybe if so they would have started crowing but now.

Here is an update on my silkie /Cochins mix. The chicks are 18 weeks on the 8th and still no crowing. Do they both still look like pullets?

The first one looks like a pullet to me. The dark one is a cockerel. He has hackle and saddle feathers, which only roosters get. I think you have a pair.
What are hackle and saddle feathers? This is the one you said is a cockerel right?
