Silkie cockerel has head on backwards???

Okay, I'm gonna dump the feed into the woods as soon as possible. I was just wondering, should I bury the feed so that wild animals don't get sick? Or should I put it in the trash can?

The silkies are 13 weeks and can go onto the layer pellets at 18 weeks. Could I give them that until I get to the store? Or is that unsafe?

Yes, I'd bury it or put it in the trash. Wild birds will eat it. I'd give the layer until you go to the store.

Okay, my hands are red and wrinkled, but the feed container is clean and filled with "safe" food! I think I might be able to go to tractor supply tomorrow night. I don't think 24 hours will be too harmful.
Ok, let us know how they do please! I've got my fingers crossed! This thread may also be helpful to someone else down the road in a similar situation.

I'll make sure to keep you all posted! This Thursday someone is planning on coming and picking up 5 of them - 3 of which have the problem. I told them, so they know about it. Hopefully the silkies will be better then...
