Can someone who has an apa book or just knows inform me of the years (date) all six colors were officially accepted? Thanks!

It *might* be on the club website? I know I have seen the information somewhere, but really don't know when.

A judge recently told me "since splash is such a new variety and is just beginning to be shown"

Probably the most common variety I have seen other than white.

Just looking at my SOP right now:

Bearded White 1874
Bearded Black 1965
Bearded Blue 1996
Bearded Buff 1996
Bearded Gray 1996
Bearded Partridge 1996
Bearded Splash 2001
Bearded Lavendar 2010?

Non-bearded White 1874
Non-bearded Black 1965
Non-Bearded Buff 1996
Bearded Gray 1996
Non-Bearded Partridge 1996

*** According to the 2001 SOP, the bearded splash is in the new breeds & varieties supplement way in the back of the book. It doesn't give a description for the non-bearded splash, only the bearded.

I had no idea white silkies had been around/shown for 136 years!!! No wonder they are so far along and win all the shows!

Silkies were discovered in something like AD 1276 (guessing on exact year, but it can't be more than 10-15 years off) by Marco Pollo. They are an OLD breed. Dorkings are older; the Romans wrote about them.
