Silkie color need advice plz?

I got these two girls yesterday the one on the left is black with some gold.buff in her the one on the right looks to me to be black but I have been told by a few people she looks blue or maybe black/blue mixed? What do you all think?

ETA: They have nice leg feathering it is just COVERED with some nasty muddy mucky stuff.

I THINK that it is a black silkie but with a lot of gold in the hackles. This usually happens to cockerels quite often. Its probably the result of poor breeding or poor genetics. I have never really seen that much gold in the hackles though...

Well on the way to a very dark partridge, but not quite there; the other looks black, but really cannot tell from the photo; yes, it could be a very dark blue, but there is no such thing (genetically impossible) as a mix of blue and black.

Also cannot see the legs well enough, but your description makes me suspect scaley leg mites, in which case you need to thoroughly bathe them in dog flea/tick shampoo, scrape off as much of hte gunk as you can without hurting the poor girl, apply some oil diluted ivermectin pour-on and thoroughly cover the eggs with a light oil such as body oil or even cooking oil. You willl need to scrape off the gunk and treat with oil on alternate days for a week or more until the legs are clear.

Very pretty roo! I cleaned the girls up and it was not legmites just dirty. I am going to put these girls with my black roo. He also has gold on him like this hen.
