Silkie coloring

I hatched these girls myself last fall

with shipped eggs. Breeder had 3 colors mixed together - black, white and buff. I got 3 black, one white and then this. What is this color? I was thinking buff at first, but then her head turned gray.

I’m new to silkies, but I had some Ameraucanas with a white dillution gene over red that caused a similar pattern- but that doesn’t explain the gray crest feathers! Do you have picks of them as day old chicks? I have some silkie chicks and I’m curious about the chick down color to adult color changes.
