Still has that main light color to it but when you pull out the wing its kind of like a light brindle.
Ill take pics as soon as I get my lazy self to plug the camera battery in..

Any guesses on what this one is?

And a ? on another one of my blacks.
It has a silver/white spot under its neck. Normal?

I'd say black still but with less certianty. Accent colors on a chick often indicates they'll have that color somewhere on them as adults though often not where it is located on the chick. You may end up with some white foot feathers or something...you could also end up with solid black. Also black chicks will sometimes also have a lighter shading on their underside.

You can't tell sex at this age though a bigger comb might give a clue. That is a black...that lighter patch I wouldn't worry about. You won't be able to tell sex until 3 months at the eariliest...very few of my birds reveal their sex prior to that age. Even after that age most of mine have a characteristic poof shape that often clues me in, but I know what I am looking for. With someone that is just learning it could be 6 months or more before you can tell the sex. On males look for little thin streamer feathers coming off the back of their heads.

Okay. Thanks!

Does anyone know about the other silkie in question?

What about the other silkie....can't tell sex on either one and the other is a grey or a grey derivative.
