Silkie Colour....

Well, I've been to England, but the other two are a bit further away

I'm guessing you're fairly young? Give yourself some time

Australia & New Zealand are in the southern hemisphere--far, far from England. They are both much closer to Antarctica. In fact, the US is much closer to England that either Australia or New Zealand. Go to maps.google.com and zoom out until you can see the whole world

That's actually one of the project I'm working on....

Cool! But i'm thinking the Silkie feathering may have some issues with it. Or not who knows. But the reason I said lacing is because it looks like a Silver Sebright chick.

It does hatch with similar fuzzy black/ white colouring as a silver sebright chick... I'm hoping the outcome will look cleaner/ more definition than a cuckoo.

I hatch 2 of those this year.. might have to keep them and see what they grow up like.... I'm leaning towards partial laced as the cross I did was with a silver lace wyandotte...

Let me get this right...

You're half way correct, our standard and the Aussie's standard are based on UK's standard.... the silkies are classified as a light breed here and we do have a standard for a bantam silkie (these are about the size of a modern game).

Is that what you're asking?
