Hey all,

So about two months ago, one of our hens passed away. Since that only left us with two girls and one boy, we decided to take a gamble and hatch one of the eggs. (We know a home if it's a roo, which we can't keep.) Baby Troubble is now 9.5 weeks old, and half-Silkie (the roo), half-gold-laced Wyandotte. We've got good hope that it's a pullet, but, well, silkies, and Troubble has occasionally distanced him/herself from the group recently (though despite the name, he/she doesn't seem to be getting in any trouble with our rooster).

The bottom half of his/her comb is still flat and black, the top is starting to get a bit pinkish. Anyway! Pictures!

Some seven weeks later...

(Mind you, this one is easily spooked by me, hence the o_o longneck attitude)

Amazing! It looks just like my silkie crosses! For that reason, I'd guess pullet.

The one on the right is my rooster, see the large tail and huge red comb.

The one on the left is a pullet, as are the two on the right. They have smaller tails and nearly no comb. Mine are flighty also, hints the poor quality pictures.

Your bird is beautiful.
