Silkie Cross Thread!! PICS!!

Pics
I know that my silkie/cochins boys all have light skin. My girls all had black skin. I'm just wondering if it still true with large chickens as well. If it is then I now have 3 silkie/easter egger girls and 1 boy.
i heard, if the dad has blue skin (silkie) and the mom(cochin) has white then the girls would have blue and boys would have white.

It should hold true for the larger birds. My past Silkie mix hens were Silkie/EE. The hens had dark skin, the roosters light and all the girls laid light blue or green eggs!

I hope mine lay colored eggs. Are your chickens small like bantams or large?

That's what I heard too. I hope it is cause that means I have 1 rooster and 3 girls.

i got 2 more silkie cross bred's and they have feathered legs and black legs do you think they will be hens since they have the black legs ??? i have a silkie cross i put a pic of him already up but he has yellow legs so does that mean he is a cockerel ?

From what I've understood it depends on which is the father and if the other parent has yellow legs.

I don't have those girls anymore, I sold them all when I got into Silkies. I sure do miss them. They were sort of in between. Not super huge, but not small like a bantam. They could certainly cover more eggs then my Silkies can. They were really great layers too!
