OK I hatched out some eggs on october 10th. I was told they were Sussex, Rhode Island Red, Australorp, Leghorn, Plymouth rock, ISA brown and possibly some "surprises from whatever pen I have available"
From what has hatched I have identified the Rhode island red, Australorp, Sussex and leghorn. Pretty sure ones a hybrid (aka the ISA) cockerel. I have some that I think are actually Barred Plymouth rock cross Leghorn as they are dominant white and some of the black feathers they have appear to be barred...
Then there is this boy. barred, rose comb and 5 toes. I think he's the "surprise" along with the Plymouth crosses.
I have been scratching by head on him since the day he hatched. could he be a silkie x Plymouth rock or is he a cross of another 5 toes bird?

I would guess he’d got Dorking in him or he’s a barnyard mix. There’s only a couple of 5 toed breeds, Silkie, Favorelle and some crested breeds. If he was part of them then I’d expect a small crest or feathered legs. Dorking’s are single combed though so I don’t know what his mother would be, Dominique maybe? Interested to see what others think.

I guess Dorking/Dominique cross would make more sense than a silkie cross, especially since from what I saw of her flocks they appeared to be heritage breeds

There are rose combed dorkings, just like rose combed leghorns.
