Silkie Cross

Is there any possible way to cross a silkie hen with a smooth feathered rooster to get offspring with silkie feathers, or do I have to wait for the next generation?

My silkie is sitting on 7 eggs... can't wait to see the babies!

If the other parent is half silkie, it will carry a copy of the gene for silkied feathers, giving a 50% chance for silkie feathered offspring. If not, then no.
