Hey Kelly, I know this is 5 years old So not sure if you're even on here anymore but I just laid my first round of silkie Easter Egger cross chicks and they are absolutely adorable! I also have one golden laced Polish crested in the mix and have a few of those babies. My Easter Eggers are frizzles, and my silkie rooster is smaller than they are so I thought that he would be intimidated and didn't even know that the eggs were fertilized. I threw them in the incubator anyway and after I candled at 5 days they were all fertile. You go Percy! Anyway, here's some pictures of how the babies turned out. Obviously I don't know if they'll be frizzled yet or not because they were just born two days ago. I can keep you posted. How did yours turn out? Would love to hear if they ended up laying colored eggs or not. Also, I've noticed that some have four toes and some have five. Very interesting mix! Oh and one more thing... I had a few silkie eggs in there with the rest and right now it's a little difficult to tell the difference as newborns. That will be interesting too!Hey guys/gals!!
Have you ever had a chick that was a silkie easter egger cross? I have some in the incubator right now and I would really appreciate if somebody can show me a picture of one of theres. I have a white silkie rooster and a white/buff colored easter egger. Also what color eggs would this cross lay?
Thank you so much for your time.
~Kaylie~
