Ha! I was just awakened this morning by a new crower that is still in the brooder, in my house! He was FOURWEEKS old on this past Saturday!!
Most of my boys around here start crowing between 8 weeks, some take a lot longer. One of the boys outside just started crowing at 4 months. If you have other roos at your place, the young ones learn from them.

Well, sorry to hear that. I really love my boys, they are much more personable than the girls are. I am sooooo glad to live in the sticks! I can have as many roos as I want... and then some.
Yes.....I wish we lived in the sticks as well, but for now we don't, so Ill have to find him a good home. I just posted some pics of my Barred Rock chicks on the breed/gender forum. If you have a second and know how to sex Barred Rocks, have a look, and let me know what you think......Thanks
