Title says all-my "blue" *I think he/she is black!) silkie has developed a gnarly grayish looking comb over the last three weeks and also started to crow. Any way it's a girl, or should I find a new home?? (If it helps, we did have a rooster in the flock but he went to his new home about the same time that this chicken started to grow a comb. It's approximately 19 weeks old now.)
Poo. I initially purchased 8 birds but figured one or two would be roosters so I shouldn't be surprised, but I was thinking I'd end up with more eggs!

Thanks!

Thanks! LOL, I realize it's a silly question, I'd read that silkies don't mature until 8-9 months so I wasn't entirely convinced that this sad attempt was from a rooster. ...Anybody want a silkie rooster?
