This is Karat, my first successful silkie duckling hatch. This is the most spoiled little duck ever

I want him to be good and friendly, so I've been holding him all the time. Now when I stick my hand in the brooder, and everybody else goes to the furthest corner, Karat comes running over to me

He's the only duckling so far, but I have more eggs developing in the bator

What a little cutie.

I used to have 1 Indian Runner who would stomp over to me at the side of the brooder ... he always wanted to be picked up. Even once he went outside he still loved his cuddles.
