I just bought 10+ silkie eggs from ebay but I heard that silkie eggs were harder to hatch. Is this true? if you have hatched silkies before did they seem harder to hatch (lower hatching percentage)? i really hope to get a good hatch.

    Thanks

I'm new to hatching .... in fact I'm hatching my first ever batch of eggs. They just happen to be Silkies. Out of 6 I successfully hatched one, but it's got issues with it's legs. It hatched 3 days late. The day before it hatched I opened one and found it wasn't ready. Now my remaining 4 are 8 days over due. So I'm going to say silkies are harder to hatch.
