I have a silky rooster, silkie hens, 2 polish hens, & 2 silkie mix hens. I took 2 eggs from each hen. My silkie mix eggs, hatched. My polish eggs are a rocking & in lockdown. Not one of my silkie eggs have done a darn thing. So i dont think the rooster is the problem. He is the daddy & grand daddy to all my eggs.
Only my full blooded silkie eggs are duds.? Is there a trick to hatching silkie eggs? I'm so confused & have people waiting to buy chicks if I can get them to hatch.
