I'm getting some from Jody and some from Bobbi Porto.

I can't wait! The bator has levelled back out after I cleaned it and turned it back on.

It's a still air - what temp should I be aiming for? I have it in the 100.5-101.5 range right now. The eggs won't be here for a few more days, do I need to adjust down or am I ok? Humidity is right about 55% for the post 2 days too.

Dern windy here tonight and I can't sleep!

Y'all are going to get some pretty chickies. Your temp sounds good. i think with still air it is supposed to run near 101. Some people who use still air with success might give you a better heads up on that.

Get your humidity down just alittle...40 to 50% range for the first 18 days..then up to 60 to 70% for the last 3....

Durn windy over this ridge too!...lol

OKay, I'll make sure the humidity drops down before I set the eggs.

Any quick ways to drop humidity if I ever need too?

Try taking some water out of one of your troughs or water wells if you have those......you can always add water back ....

Both your temps and humidity will drop when you set your eggs in...don't panic...it will come back up to the correct temp and humidity...humidty doesn't have to be exact!!...just not in the high range to drown the chicks...

By the time your eggs arive and you lift the lid to put them in the humidity will be down.

Got my eggs from bobbi porto today! 1 is cracked ... it doesn't seem the membrane is busted ... no leaking ... Could I try to incubate it too? or will it dry out too fast?

It was bust. I had some incubator issues

But I'm trying silkies this time, and prolly seramas in the future!

My chook buddy has some possible serama/serama crosses in the bator now (serama and sebright roo in with 2 sebrights/1 serama and 1 d'anver - so we ain't sure who's the daddy or even the mommy

) first one is due to hatch the 15th!

Trying hard not to set the eggs tonight and letting them settle! For my own eggs - is the china marking pencils (kinda waxy "lead") okay to makr? Or does it inhibit respiration too nuch?
