silkie eggs

If you have them under a broody, all you have to do is nothing :)
Well, make sure your sitting hen has access to food and fresh water- but that's pretty much a given.
Oh, and post pictures when they hatch. We like pictures ;)

Can I hatch eggs under a Broody when she is still In coop with roosters and other hens?

Another thing is I will candle the eggs next Wednesday...

My hatch date is the 7th....

I let my hen hatch in the main coop with the other chickens then moved them to a separate coop to brood only because it's easier to make sure the water and proper food is accessible to the chicks. Separating them isn't necessary though so long as the chicks can access water. Food isn't as important because a good momma hen will scratch feed out onto the ground for the chicks to eat.

today is candle day! I an so excited but yet worried what will i see if they are fertile?

I tried to candle then yesterday and the shells were too thick I couldn't see anything today is the 2 week mark
