Silkie Experts! Gender???

So if I have a silkie thats about 5 months, no crow or eggs yet, and I'm leaning towards roo, i should give "it" a little while longer before I call it? Never had silkies before and its supposed to be a pullet but I was having doubts. Guess I'll wait a little longer.

I have a 7+ month old splash that I just "know" is a boy. If (she) plops out an egg before (he) crows...I am going to

I had a cockerel who was a full nine months old before he made himself known. I have had at least a couple of girls that were over a year old before they started laying. I have a cock who is 2 years old. Even last November his gender was questioned (I will say, however, that he appears to be henny feathered, making his colouring appear feminine rather than masculine.)

Okay so now it's just a waiting game

lol

so, if i wanted to keep roosters and hens but not have babies, how would that work

would two silkie cockerels fight?

if they are raised together they probably wont be not saying it cant happen but they will already have a pecking order ironed out at a young age so i doubt they're will be much fighting!
