Silkie Feathers Blocking Sight

I have a silkie who's facial feathers below her eyes rest upward and block her sight, I brush them downward with my finger, but then they come back up! Is there anything I can do to keep them out of her eyes?

As long as you are not planning on showing her you can trim them with a pair of scissors.

Thanks, but I am planning to show her, is there anything I can do when I am showing her? I'll trim them in the meanwhile.

A ouch-less hair tie (no metal on it) for little girls, is what I have heard of people using that don't want to trim the feathers.
