Thank you for the input!! I'm pretty sure now that they're older that the first 2 chicks are little roos and the black is a hen.I don't know about the genders. Having some with dark combs and some with lighter combs makes it much harder to tell by comparing how red they are!
The chicks in the 2nd and 3rd pictures (white & black in feathers) definitely have smooth feathers, not silkie ones. I can't see the feathers clearly enough on the dark chick: but if you had to ask, then it probably does NOT have silkie feathering.

Now that you know the genders, I look back at the photos and I can see the differences--funny how much clearer it becomes after I've been told which one is which![]()
