Ok, I admit it... my stress over sexing these Silkies has gotten the better than me and I am turning into a statistic... has anyone ever counted the total number of obligatory silkie gender help posts? Yikes!
I would appreciate any thoughts you might have on the gender of my 18 week old Silkies. They came from MyPetChicken as "sexed" pullets. So far I have had two (not in these pictures) confirmed, crowing roosters out of that batch plus another couple of suspects. Over all, these four have been very mellow and harmonious. No chest bumping or rooish behavior other than the splash (sold as a lavender) getting a little bit protective if one of the others gets upset while I am holding them.
There are four birds pictured: 1 splash, 1 buff/red, 1 partridge, 1 black
Thanks so much for you help!!!
A bit startled by the camera.
Pepper, the black is very mellow.
Poppy, the partridge is very shy and quiet.
