SILKIE GENDER?!

Hi, I have this silkie who is making a weird noise. I don’t know if it’s because it’s trying to crow? j am unsure of the age. Maybe 5 months?

Silkies are difficult to gender ID. Free standing profile shots are helpful. I lean cockerel on this bird.

The comb is rather small for 5 months in my opinion, but @sourland is right, some pictures in which the bird is standing would help better ID the gender.

This really is a difficult case. Normally by this age cockerels have wattles, though the comb is fairly big a bit to big for a pullet. I’d say like everyone else I’m leaning more towards cockerel. Silkies are hard to tell so you won’t know 100% until he/she lays or crows.

It stands like my male did. My females always were leaning forwards like you usually see

Its might be a male because I recently got a rooster and he is fine with all the other chickens that are confirmed females but always attacks this one.
