Silkie gender

Is there any way to tell what gender my babies are? They are about 8 week old. One is a Frizzle, 2 are Silkies, and 2 are (I think) Polish. I'm at work or I'd include a picture. I can take one when I get home. In the meantime, any advice?

Usually you have to wait 2.5 months to 4 months to figure out the gender for silkies and polish. We may be able to tell what the frizzle is.

For polish it is based on crest shape and wattle growth. Hackles, saddles, and size are also helpful.

Polish are usually sexed later although some can be told younger based on development. There will be no for sure answers but if you do post pictures we can help you.

Frizzle is definitely a cockerel. Update the other two later.

I was going to say cockerel, but there was something stopping me. I do not see ANY wattle growth, but you are likely correct.

That is a good note, but it looks more like a slower developing cockerel to me. Updates on all three will be nice though!
