Silkie gone blind and head drifts to the right

Also, does anyone know a reputable place to get a coop for her, I've been looking for a while, they would either be too big, too tall, or have ramps (I know that it's incredibly common to have ramps but she just sleeps in the corner between the ramp and the coop) They would also have to be able to ship to Australia

Mareks disease can sometimes cause wry neck and other symptoms. Respiratory diseases (severe ones) in later stages may cause wry neck. You may want to get materials and have a coop built because they will be less expensive more sturdy. Most commercial coops sold are very cheaply made, and never hold as many chickens as they claim to do. You could advertise locally on facebook or other community sites for a builder. There are a lot of simple coop plans on our learning pages here.

Thank you

Sorry, me again, how do I know if it is mareks, head trauma or vitamin deficiency
Sometimes you don’t as each has distinct symptoms and some of the same ones. With diseases, those will almost always affect other birds. Vitamin deficiencies may or may not affect others.

Our silkies all get 1/4 of a can (1/4 dose) of Rooster Booster granular and 10g Chinese Skullcap Baicalin mixed into 50# of their Flock Maker crumbles.

Head trauma to their vault can cause neurological issues. There is not a good prognosis for those. I saw one rooster jump up next to a pen, hit his head on a beam, and died on the spot. Two others I treated to no avail, one eventually died and the other hubby culled for me, just yesterday. This is out of hundreds of silkies and going on a decade of raising/breeding them, so it’s not common but could be if you have a mean chicken pecking them in their heads.

For any showing any signs of head shaking or other head/neck issues, or possible vitamin deficiencies, see @Eggcessive post #17 above. This is what I do except I sub B-complex for the B-1 as I have that in a liquid (Walmart).

Do this for two weeks or so, then make a determination if she’s improving or not. If she is, keep it up until she’s perfect again. If she’s not, then you can say you at least tried.

Thank you to everyone who helped, her head drifting has gone down drastically and she almost ran when she heard me, I cannot tell you all just how grateful I am. :wee
