Hey Yall... I had a silkie hatch today and its feet are kinda curled under? I have read posts were the babies toes are all long this ones isn't it just seems like they won't spread out. what can I do or is there nothing I can do? thanks a bunch

my chick had this. i let her dry off and puff her down. 2 days after hatch she started to walk. sometimes chicks dont pick it up too early.

I have had chicks born like this. A Band aid cut in half long ways and wrap each foot straighting out the toes will help the chick balance. You will get the hang of it. The chickens are 6 mths old and fine. There is a thread with pictures on here.

raymondjames I pray thats the case for my baby... Luvducks I am looking that up now thank you will yall look at the pictures and tell me what you think?

two of my silkies had curled toes when hatched and one toe looked broken and bent under and I panicked but after they dried their toes were fine. They are all doing fine now...

give them some time to dry before panicking...
