I don't hate them - I saw one in person for the first time at a chicken swap and I was not impressed. Granted, I have never had one and I am not sure if I like them enough to want one - So are you stink eye-ing me?

Maybe someday in the future I will feel differently but for the record I don't like chuhawahs or yorkies either and my impression are that these silkies are fru fru and for folks that like the designer pets.

That is my humble opinion and I am standing by it!

Silkies are sweet, I met one and it was really nice and calm... But I want chickens because they are... chickeny. Silkies look like dogs, and kinda have fur, and fluffy legs. I prefer naked legs. And I like to see the colors clearly ( thats why I want a barred Rock so bad! Theyre so pretty

) Silkies' colors blend.... :C sad sad sad. If they made silkies w/o the crest on top and the feather legs, though, I'd be all up on that, but........... they don't. Schade.

The walnut comb on one of the Show quality ones I saw was amazing though. it was spectacular. I want to say it was as big as a fist, but it wasn't (it was as big as a walnut) but it looked that big to me! It was nice.

I like silkies, but not for the same reasons and not as much as I like other chickens. I just like chickeny chickens better :C

Im not a hater, Silkies. I'm not hating on your game.

EDIT: I changed my mind. I want one as a lap-chicken/ broody

I also want to walk it on a leash, in town, through a starbucks drivethrough

that sounds fun to me
