Silkie hen going broody

I have a silkie hen that has currently laid four eggs. I was just curious of how many she will lay before going broody.

It depends on the specific bird. Some birds go broody shortly after laying their first few eggs. Others may never go broody. Its impossible to tell for sure when a bird will go broody. If you want to encourage her to go broody, let the eggs pile up in the nest. This often encourages chickens to go broody.
