I have two Silkie's that went broody together. They had about 12 eggs they were sitting on between the two of them. 6 have hatched over the course of a couple of days. Since then, every day I have gone out 1 of the remaining eggs has hatched and the baby is dead?! Why is this happening? Is there anything I can do? I just can't stand it! Please help!

I would think it may be competition or jealousy... I am not sure, I have never had 2 broody's together...
Do you have an incubator you can remove the other eggs too or separate the hens and remaining eggs?

My incubator broken. They each have their own nest and it has happened in both nests...I cant separate them any more than they are. It's weird I have have more than one go broody together before with no problems...
