Silkie hen or roo?

Hi there! I am new to this site and we got chickens about 8 weeks ago. We got a silkie (although, I do not think she is full silkie).
As I have researched, I have found that it is hard to sex a silkie. We don't know how old he/he was when we got her/him, but here is a picture from when we first got her.

I assumed she was a hen, because that is what we were told... but another chicken we got and were told was a hen turned out to be a rooster. I know now it isn't so simple to sex chickens, and also that people want to sell their birds and will say whatever unfortunately I really want her to be a hen, but I have no idea how many weeks she was when we first bought her. Here is a more current picture with her and her friend

So what do ya'll think? I'm worried she may be a he... just because our other beloved one turned out to be, although he is beautiful! We would just have 3 roos, and I'd have to change her name!
She lost her baby "chirp" sound about 3 weeks ago if that helps. If ya'll could estimate an age too that would be great!

*also we have started giving her a trim around the eyes so she can see. We made a newby mistake by not realizing that was necessary. We love our chickens and are doing whatever to make sure they are well kept and happy!

A bit much of a comb, but I agree it's probably a pullet. If she lost her baby chirp about 3 weeks ago, then she's probably around 15 weeks old.

I believe you have a pretty pullet too. A silkie mix. I'd guess mixed with a cochin but that's just my thought.

I'm hoping for hen. She is the cutest thing. Hoping to get a full silkie soon too so she can have a good friend. She is certainly the lowest on the pecking order, but our rooster and her have been bffs since day one. He will even look for her when she wanders off, and if they all leave her as they are looking for food, she sits still and chirps and he will come looking for her! The oddest thing. Hopefully she doesn't turn out to be a 'he'!
