Silkie Hen Or Roo?

I think it is a roo. The wattles, the angle of the poof - look very roo-ish to me. Why don't you go get him a girlfriend? Chickens need chicken friends!

I'm thinking Roo. Usually by that age the hens tails are fully rounded and puffed up. Can you get a better pic of its comb? Also around 20weeks they start to crouch on the floor when you go to pick them up but thats not a given. Just something i've experience with most of my hens as they have started to mature.

that has to be a hen because this is my white silkie roo

This is a photo of "Barney" my white silkie roo when he was 21 weeks old. He was crowing or attempting to crow at 14 weeks old. My Barney tries to act really "manly" around his hens but he is really a sweetie!

He is the easiest to hold and pet compared to my hens.
