Silkie Holiday Hatch-a-long

So I gave the little weakling a warm bath and put him back in the incubator to dry. Once he is dry I will have to try to brace his toes. I'm not sure how to do it so if anyone has any advice I would greatly appreciate it. His rectum is out just a little to add to all this mess. Has anyone dealt with this? I'm so devastated over this. I'm almost wondering if it would be more humane to put it down? But how? I'm home alone, the kids are sleeping and I'm sobbing over this little guy. This is a cry for help.
What should I do?

I am trying not to think what may happen to my lone egg. I'd probably just let him be and see if he eats/drinks? sounds like you've done all you can at this point. sorry this is my first hatch so i'm not much help.

Do you have a pic of this baby? I would give it a little time before culling it. One of my chicks from the same eggs has curled toes honestly I just left them be and she is doing fine so far with slightly curled toes at 3 1/2 weeks(she is a white silkie). I also had one that was a little sticky and matted but she fluffed up herself over the next week. The vent might be a little different we wouldn't know how bad with out a pic. I have had some chicks previously where there vent is sticking out some, not too far though, and it goes back in.

I wish you luck.

What colors did you get to hatch?

I hate to say this but I decided to put him down. It was probably the hardest thing I've had to do.
His legs were so twisted that I couldn't even find pictures that looked like his. They were so bad. He was just laying down hardly breathing. He wouldn't open his eyes at all and his vent seemed to getting worse every time he pooed. I just couldn't stand to let him suffer. I wouldn't have done it had I not thought it was the right thing to do. He was a black silkie. The 3 survivors are splash.
Now to decide if I continue to hatch or to give up this hobby.
I really don't ever want to have to do that again. :,(

Hi Silkie lovers!!
I really, really want to hatch out more silkie chickens, but I don't want any more roosters, I have 3 fully grown ones and 2 that are about 5/6 months old, I don't know what to do with them, I want to sell them but know one around my area wants any...
