I think so? But I’m horrible with silkies!!Hi there! I keep a few different chickens breeds. I keep silkies for fun. I love them! One of my silkies is a bit darker on his backside, would he still be called blue in regards to his color? View attachment 2806967
This lovely boy is likely a mixed color. He almost appears silver partridge, but not quite. Silver or grey partridge is the same as grey. They typically have a gradient of color like yours. Different genetics than blue, but this one may very well be blue based with leakage as @RoostersAreAwesome has noted above.Hi there! I keep a few different chickens breeds. I keep silkies for fun. Thanks for the tag.
Honestly, I am not sure. He is beautiful though.Thank you all very much for taking the time to answer my question!I appreciate it! @LadiesAndJane is his color just a bit too choppy (is that the leakage?) to be considered one or the other? I’m sorry I’m so new to identifying colors! It hasn’t been something I really thought of before until he grew up to have that changing color to his feathers. To clarify I would call him Blue with likely some silver leakage, or grey with leakage but that it’s unknown for sure? Either way I love him dearly, his name is Spooky
Thank you again
