I have a Silkie Roo who doesn’t seem to be mating with the other silkie hens why is that? I’m not sure if he’s just an old Silkie since he seems very slow at times. He’s healthy and everything and I have noticed whenever the other rooster (not Silkie) mounts on the hens, he would try to mimic or either just pec the hens on the head. Do I just give it time or is it just not meant to be for him.

It is very possible that he is subordinate to the other rooster and gets his butt kicked if he tries to breed. If you want chicks by him, it may be necessary to pen him and some hens away from the main flock. Of course if you do that reintroduction to the flock will most likely be a problem.

It’s funny because the other rooster is afraid of him but the Silkie roo is afraid of the hens if he so much irritates them.
