So one of my Silkies (dont know yet but Im pretty sure shes a Silkie) moves her head around kinda like a human would when they are dancing. I think its so cute but I wonder if maybe something is wrong with it? Does anyone else who has Silkies do the same?

My RIR did the same thing and I always thought it was weird but he was a very healthy bird. I though maybe he was just working something that he'd eaten down, kinda like if you take too big of a bite and have to swallow twice to get it down. But I'm NOT an expert. Maybe they were just born with more rythm then others!

It would be HILARIOUS to see someone in public doing this. Im glad to know my Silkie is ok though!

One of my silkies always shakes her head to the left. reminds me of those guys from the movie 'night at the roxbury'

She does have a vaulted skull, don't know if that has anything to do with it. I see her walking around and I tell her "to the left, to the left" lol
None of my other silkies do that.

In fact....none of my other chickens do it!

Yeah, Ive onlyseen my one Silkie do it. I took a video of her. Ill try to upload it sometime. Its so cute though! She makes me laugh.

I had a rooster that was attacked by a dog, and was injured around the base of the neck. When he would eat food he would move his head around left to right, just like you described. Could it be something wrong with or lodged in the silkies crop?
