First of all, yes they are mixed. I did a project last year by mixing a splash silkie roo with a wheaten EE hen and the chicks turned out looking like silkies. The only thing that wasn't the same is not all of them had 5 toes on both feet. Some had 4 and some had 5 on one and 4 on the other. The rest was the same, they had black skin, black beaks and what appeared to be a walnut comb. I didn't keep any of them long enough to see how they feathered out but the person I sold them to informed me they look like silkies but they lay blue and olive eggs.
I think that is soo cool. I was wondering if they would do that. Maybe she will see this thread and add some pictures of the birds. I haven't seen them since they left here last year.
